Privacy notice

This site has no forms, no accounts and collects nothing by itself. There are no profiling cookies, no advertising and no third-party analytics.

The only data we receive is what you send us of your own accord, by WhatsApp, email or phone: we use it to answer your enquiry and, if you book, to manage the stay.

• Contact and booking details (name, contact, dates, number of guests): used to answer your enquiry and, if you book, to manage the stay. Legal basis: performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps requested by you.
• Guests' identity document details: Italian law requires them to be reported to the police through the Alloggiati Web portal within 24 hours of arrival, and statistical data to be sent to the Region. Legal basis: legal obligation.
• Invoicing and accounting data, where due. Legal basis: legal obligation.
• Technical browsing data: the hosting provider records site access in its own log files, for security and diagnostics.

Bodies the law requires us to report to (police, the Region, the municipality for the tourist tax, the tax authority), the site's hosting provider, the email provider and the accountant. We do not sell or pass data to anyone else.

If you write to us on WhatsApp, the conversation passes through the servers of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. under that service's own terms. If you'd rather avoid that, email or phone us instead.

The site is hosted by Aruba S.p.A., which also provides the email service for the info@newcastlelakecomo.com mailbox. As the hosting provider, Aruba may process technical browsing data and server logs (IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, browser type), for security and diagnostics.

The OpenStreetMap map is not loaded when the page opens: it starts only after you click the panel. Until you do, no request is sent to that service.

The links to WhatsApp, Airbnb and Google Maps lead away from this site: clicking them takes you to external services, subject to their own privacy notices.

Enquiries that don't become bookings are deleted within twelve months. Booking data is kept for as long as tax and administrative obligations require, normally ten years.

Providing your data is optional, but without your contact details we cannot answer your request, and without your identity documents we cannot host you, because registration is required by law.

We do not use automated decision-making and we do not carry out profiling: no decision about you is taken by software.

You can ask at any time to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its processing or receive a copy, by writing to info@newcastlelakecomo.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
